Discussion on college football accounts has turned to two Boise State players as possible candidates for the Heisman Trophy. The posts name running back Dylan Riley and kicker Canaan Moore. This follows a season in which Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty was a finalist for the award.
Jeanty led the Broncos during the 2024-2025 college football season. He was named a Heisman finalist, though he did not win the trophy. Boise State fans were disappointed when the award went elsewhere.
Riley has received attention for his play. After Boise State's recent game against Washington State, his statistics have been cited in the online posts as putting him among the top running backs in the country. He is the latest in a line of productive running backs from the program, which carries the nickname 'RBU' for Running Back University.
Moore is a kicker for the Broncos. A college football account pointed to his work as the reason for his inclusion in the discussion.
The Broncos continue their season this weekend against Texas State.
