Raiders plan to keep Maxx Crosby through 2026
League sources say the defensive end wants to stay in Las Vegas, and no teams have initiated trade talks.

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby is expected to remain with the team for the 2026 season. League sources indicated that the Raiders have no current plans to trade the five-time Pro Bowler, and Crosby has expressed a desire to stay in Las Vegas. This stands in contrast to the trade rumors that surrounded him during the previous offseason.
The Raiders have not engaged in discussions with other franchises regarding a potential Crosby deal this season. While teams may still inquire about the player before the November 10 trade deadline, sources said such calls are not expected to alter the organization's position. One source noted that Crosby does not want to leave under any circumstances and hopes to finish his career as a Raider.
The team's stability comes after a failed trade in the offseason. The Baltimore Ravens had agreed to send two first-round draft picks to Las Vegas for Crosby, but the deal was nullified when the player failed his physical in Baltimore. That experience has not changed the Raiders' intent to keep him.
The Raiders are currently 3-4 and play the New York Jets in New Jersey on Sunday. The team is aiming to reach a .500 record in November for the first time since 2020. They rely on Crosby to pressure the opposing offense during this stretch of the season.
Quarterback Kirk Cousins is also expected to remain the starter. The Raiders believe Cousins is not responsible for the team's recent drop in performance following a 3-0 start. He leads the league with 16 touchdown passes and ranks third with 1,817 passing yards while throwing only five interceptions in seven games.
The Raiders face a difficult schedule after Sunday. They will play at San Francisco, host Seattle, and travel to Denver and Cleveland before their Week 13 bye. After the break, they play three home games against the Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos, and Tennessee Titans. Sources said the team would prefer Cousins to finish the season, though they may consider turning to first overall pick Fernando Mendoza after the bye.
