Kellen Moore was in Boise on Saturday night.

The current head coach of the New Orleans Saints traveled to his hometown for a single evening. He arrived during a bye week in the NFL schedule. This break allowed him to make the quick trip back to Idaho.

Moore’s time as a player at Boise State ended with a 50-3 record. During his career, he led the Broncos to victories against power teams. These opponents included Georgia and Virginia Tech. He also faced TCU in multiple high-profile games. His team won a Fiesta Bowl, mirroring the success of the famous 2007 Bronco squad.

Moore attended a halftime ceremony at Albertsons Stadium. The event honored his tenure as a Bronco. He was accompanied by his family for the occasion. The group viewed a statue erected in his honor. Moore described himself as truly humbled by the recognition.

He inspected the new and improved Albertsons Stadium before the ceremony began. Reports suggest he flew in on a private plane. This method allowed him to return to work in New Orleans quickly after the event.

Moore played under head coach Chris Petersen. Petersen was recognized as one of the best coaches in college football. He later left Boise State to join Washington. At Washington, Petersen guided the Huskies to a College Football Playoff appearance.

Moore secured his first win of the season with the Saints on September 20. He remains connected to Boise despite his move to the NFL. The city has not left him, according to observers of his return.
