Three people were hospitalized and one person died in two crashes on Highway 93 near Twin Falls on Monday and Tuesday, according to Idaho State Police news releases. The two crashes occurred about 20 miles apart on the same highway.

The first crash happened a few minutes before 6:30 AM on Monday at mile marker 21, south of Twin Falls. A 50-year-old male driving a Ford northbound on US93 crossed the center line and struck a Honda head-on. The Honda was driven by a 22-year-old male, who died at the scene. Life Flight took the Ford driver to the hospital. A passenger in one of the vehicles was transported by ground ambulance.

The second crash happened a few minutes after 3:30 PM on Tuesday at mile marker 45, west of Twin Falls, near the intersection of US93 and N 2600 E. That stretch of US93 is also called Pole Line Road. A juvenile male from Twin Falls was driving a 2012 Kia Optima northbound on US93. A 79-year-old female from Twin Falls was driving a 2008 GMC SUV and attempting to turn left from southbound US93 onto 2600 E. The GMC failed to yield and turned in front of the Kia, causing the Kia to strike the GMC.

Both drivers in the Tuesday crash were the sole occupants of their vehicles and were taken to the hospital, one by ground ambulance and the other in a personal vehicle. Idaho State Police said both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

Idaho State Police are investigating both crashes.

The crashes come as Idaho State Police released data on the state's deadliest roadways from 2008 through 2025.
