Ryanair warned passengers on Sunday that flights to and from the United Kingdom might face delays. The airline posted the alert on its website, citing heavy fog as the primary cause of the disruption. The notice specifically referenced the date as November 1, 2026, and instructed travelers to monitor the Ryanair application for direct contact regarding affected bookings.

The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for fog that covers a wide swath of the country. The alert includes Bristol, London, Birmingham, Nottingham, and Hull. Geographically, the warning extends from Norwich in the east to Brighton in the south, and from sections of east Wales to Somerset in the southwest. The agency stated that the fog would be dense in places during the morning hours.

Visibility is expected to drop below 100 meters in certain areas, according to the forecaster. The warning remains in effect until 10 a.m. on Sunday. However, the Met Office noted that patches of fog may linger into the afternoon. The agency advised that weather warnings are subject to change and urged the public to stay updated on local forecasts.

The forecast indicates that the fog may be slow to lift in some regions. Cloud and rain are expected across parts of the north, with conditions gradually pushing south. Elsewhere, the weather will remain largely dry with spells of sunshine. This pattern follows a period of unsettled weather that has impacted the country recently.

Storm Austen and Storm Boelo hit the region within a few days of each other. These storms resulted in England recording its wettest week in two years. Despite the recent downpours, many areas of the country remain officially in drought. The situation is described as even more severe across parts of the South West and Sussex, where a severe drought classification is in place.

The Met Office also cautioned that bus and train services could face disruption alongside the flight delays. Motorists were urged to allow extra time for journeys and to check road conditions before traveling. The airline's statement reinforced the need for travelers to check the app for the latest flight information as the weather conditions persist.
