Pittsburgh police are investigating a second stabbing on the city's South Side within 24 hours. The latest incident left a man in critical condition after he was found with a neck wound near South 13th and Fieger streets.

Pittsburgh Public Safety reported the call came in around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. Officers discovered the victim stabbed in the neck and transported him to a hospital. He remains in critical condition as of the latest reports.

This event followed a similar attack on Friday night, just before midnight. Police responded to the intersection of South 14th and East Carson streets, where a victim had been stabbed in the chest. That victim was also transported to the hospital in critical condition after receiving aid at the scene.

Preliminary information indicates the Friday incident began as a fight inside Capo's bar. Officers found evidence of the stabbing inside the establishment. No arrests have been made in either case so far.

Local leaders are pressing for action against the bar. The South Side Community Council, City Councilman Bob Charland, and the South Side Chamber of Commerce signed an open letter to the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office. They are requesting a court-ordered closure of Capo's due to repeated safety issues and violations.

The signatories stated that the latest stabbing demonstrates past efforts to address problems at the venue have failed. The DA's office had previously acted on an alleged rape involving a patron earlier this year.
