The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced a Class II recall of 3,869,376 tubes of toothpaste distributed in Idaho and across the country. The recall covers products made by Pritam International, a personal care company based in Delhi, India. It was published in an October 22 release.
The agency classified the recall as Class II, meaning use of the products could cause temporary health reactions. The FDA found that the company did not follow Current Good Manufacturing Practice rules it sets for manufacturers.
The affected tubes are sold under the Brush Buddies, Evo, and Aru labels. More than a dozen UPC and lot codes are tied to the recall. Most of the recalled products are children's dental care items in flavors including strawberry, bubble gum, and watermelon.
Pritam International makes perfumes, skincare products, soaps, pet care products, and hair products, according to its LinkedIn page. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall. Customers with questions can call 1-888-463-6332, and the recalled products can be returned to the store where they were bought for a refund.
