DK Constructors Completes 400 Projects Since 2021 Launch
The Star-based firm reports 92% growth and is currently building an office to centralize its nine-person staff.

DK Constructors has finished more than 400 commercial construction projects since establishing operations in Star in 2021. The company serves clients across Idaho and eastern Oregon, handling jobs regardless of scale. Co-owner Dustin Keyes stated that the firm’s focus on smaller assignments emerged from his previous decade at a large construction company.
Keyes observed that major firms often deprioritized minor tasks, even when those tasks led to additional work. “We were seeing a lot of the small jobs, and the small jobs ended up leading into two, three, four other jobs, but sometimes their priority level for those types of projects wasn’t there,” Keyes said. “We saw a need in the market.”
The firm’s completed work includes dog park bars, indoor sandbox facilities, roof repairs, and parking lot maintenance. DK Constructors operates as a full-service general contractor, managing the entire construction process from start to finish. The company reported a 92% increase in revenue between 2022 and 2025.
Staffing has expanded significantly from a single intern to a current team of nine full-time employees, one part-time employee, and two interns. The business is currently constructing a new office to replace its remote work setup. Keyes believes a central base will reinforce the company’s collaborative culture.
The team operates without rigid hierarchical positions. “There’s really no hierarchy as far as positions go. Everybody works together, and we kind of just work on whatever the task at hand needs to get done,” Keyes said. “If I’ve got to go out there with a shovel and a broom, I’ll gladly do that, and everybody else on the team does the same thing.”
