Boise State's Dylan Riley ran for two fourth-quarter touchdowns as the Broncos beat Washington State 31-10 in Pullman on Saturday. The team scored 21 points in the final quarter after the game sat tied at 10 entering the period. Boise State improved to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in Pac-12 play; Washington State fell to 1-7 and 0-4 in conference.

Boise State opened the scoring in the first half. Maddux Madsen threw a 33-yard pass to freshman receiver Rasean Jones, and Sire Gaines ran it in from the next yard out to make it 7-0. Washington State answered before halftime with a 16-play, 73-yard drive that took nearly seven minutes. Kirby Vorhees scored from the 1 yard line to tie it, and Canaan Moore's field goal gave Boise State a 10-7 lead at the break.

Washington State's Jack Stevens kicked a field goal early in the third quarter to tie it at 10. Boise State responded with Madsen's 6-yard touchdown pass to Cam Bates. Linebacker Boen Phelps then intercepted Owen Eshelman, and Riley took the next carry 33 yards for a touchdown to make it 24-10. Riley broke free again for a 72-yard run in the fourth quarter. That was his fourth touchdown of the season from more than 70 yards out.

The Broncos held Washington State to 53 rushing yards. Washington State drove to a fourth-and-goal late in the game, but defensive back Derek Ganter Jr. knocked away a pass intended for Branden Ganashamoorthy. Boise State safety Roman Tillmon was ejected on a targeting penalty during that drive.

The result made Boise State bowl-eligible for the 29th straight season, which the program said ties Georgia for the second-longest active streak in the country. Boise State has now scored more than 30 points in six consecutive games, a run the team last put together in 2014. Madsen finished with 14 touchdowns and no interceptions this season, which the program said makes him the only quarterback in the country with 10 or more scoring passes and no picks.

Danielson said the team left room to improve. "There's a lot of things we need to improve on, but we found a way to win," he said. "And that's what I'm proud of .. proud of our guys finding a way to finish."

Phelps described the game as a "dogfight" and said the team's focus was on execution. "It's a game of momentum," Phelps said. "Those big plays definitely help and that's just something we hang our hat on. Finish, finish, finish."

Boise State hosts Texas State on Halloween with an 8 p.m. kickoff.
