The Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office booked two men on partner assault charges within eleven hours of each other on Sunday, October 25.
Travis Lytle, 25, was taken into custody at 3:15 a.m. that morning. The report lists four charges against him. These include criminal endangerment and criminal mischief with a loss over $1,500. He also faces a first-offense charge of partner or family member assault causing reasonable apprehension of bodily injury. A fourth charge involves tampering with a communication device to obstruct a report.
Steven Mares, 41, was arrested later that day at 1:52 p.m. He is held in custody on charges of endangering the welfare of a child, a first violation. The report also cites a first-offense partner or family member assault causing bodily injury with no weapon. Like Lytle, Mares faces a charge of tampering with a communication device to interfere with a criminal offense report.
The arrests were part of a busy week for the agency. The weekly activity report covers October 19 through October 25, 2026. Deputies logged 444 calls for service during that period. They wrote 232 case reports and made 12 arrests total. The previous week saw 409 calls for service, 15 arrests, and 214 case reports.
Seven of the twelve arrests that week involved warrants. Kristie Krushensky, 56, was arrested on a city warrant on October 19. Travis Bohl, 37, was arrested on a city warrant on October 21. Nicolin Hagerman, 24, was arrested on a county warrant on October 24. Four other arrests involved warrants from outside jurisdictions. Arthur Durham, 47, and Merle Ironbear, 26, were listed as fugitives from justice. Tye Coleman, 26, and Tristan Castro, 21, were also arrested on warrants from other areas. All seven individuals were held in custody.
Three other arrests involved theft, forgery, or disorderly conduct. Ross Jones, 37, was arrested on a first-offense theft charge on October 21. Ezbi Tibon, 20, received a notice to appear on forgery and theft charges on October 24. Angela Brown, 44, was arrested on a first-offense disorderly conduct charge for profane behavior on October 25.
The Sheriff's Office noted that a charge is an accusation rather than a conviction. All individuals named in the report are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
