Twin Falls residents are remembering local businesses that have closed their doors.

A local radio host compiled a list of 20 establishments that no longer operate in the city. The list includes quick-care clinics, mall stores, video shops, and family restaurants. Many of these places served the community during the 1980s and 1990s.

The host noted that driving down Blue Lakes Boulevard often triggers memories of the old Blue Lakes Mall and the Sandpiper restaurant. These sites have since been replaced by new development. The host stated that some of the lost locations left a void that chain restaurants and online stores have not filled.

The list features places where locals spent Friday nights and summer days. Some businesses operated for decades, while others lasted only a few years. The host said the list is not exhaustive and that new names surface every time the topic comes up in conversation. Listeners are being asked to message the show with businesses they still miss.

The host also invited owners to consider a comeback and asked listeners to send original photos of these places. Submissions must include permission to use the images. The gallery for the segment is credited to Brad Weiser.

The segment aired on KIDO Talk Radio on October 28, 2026.
