Victor Wembanyama recorded 36 points and 14 rebounds as the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Utah Jazz 117-111 in overtime on Wednesday night. The victory marks San Antonio's third consecutive win, improving their record to 3-2 on the season.

The Spurs relied heavily on their defensive pressure in the extra period, forcing four turnovers and limiting the Jazz to just two made field goals out of seven attempts. Brice Sensabaugh opened overtime with a three-pointer for Utah, but San Antonio responded with a 12-0 run to close out the game. Devin Vassell contributed 17 points after halftime, providing a secondary scoring threat that stabilized the Spurs' offense.

Utah fell to 1-4 despite a strong individual effort from Keyonte George, who scored a season-high 31 points. Ace Bailey added 19 points, while rookie Darryn Peterson contributed 18 before sitting out the final stretch and overtime. The Jazz were short-handed, playing without three starting big men: Jaren Jackson (torn MCL), Lauri Markkanen (wrist sprain), and Jusuf Nurkic (foot injury).

The game remained competitive through regulation, with the Jazz leading by as many as 11 points. Wembanyama scored 21 points in the first half to keep San Antonio within striking distance, though they trailed 55-51 at the break. The Spurs missed their last four field goal attempts in regulation, including a buzzer-beater by De'Aaron Fox. Keyonte George and Sensabaugh hit back-to-back baskets to force overtime when Utah trailed 105-100.

San Antonio will host Minnesota on Saturday to continue their winning streak. Utah returns home to face Portland on Saturday, looking to rebound from their fourth loss in five games.
