Paris Baguette opened its first location in Idaho this week at The Village in Meridian. The South Korean bakery chain held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday morning to mark the start of its local operations. The shop will officially welcome the public on Friday.
Franchise owner Jay Kim said the new store will serve a full menu of food and drinks. The menu includes sweet and savory pastries, breads, cakes, sandwiches, and coffee. Kim spent several months preparing the team for this launch. He described the staff, both front of house and back of house, as a great group of people with strong work ethics and drive.
Kim explained that his team evaluated several other potential locations before choosing this site. He felt The Village was the right place to introduce the brand to the state. Kim stated that they wanted to ensure the location and the introduction to local customers were both correct. The bakery joins a recent expansion at the shopping center, which also welcomed four other new retailers.
The arrival of the chain adds a new dining option to the Meridian area. Residents can now access the specific pastries and coffee offerings from this international brand without traveling out of state. The store is ready to begin serving the community starting this weekend.
