Two television series are hiring paid background actors for shoots in the Philadelphia area this fall. The production calls for 'Task' and 'The Four Seasons' require different demographics and schedules. Both projects offer compensation for their on-set work.

The HBO series 'Task' is filming a high school homecoming dance scene. The call seeks young men and women over 18 who appear to be high school students. Actors must be available on Thursday, Nov. 12. The location is in Delaware County, though the exact address is not public. Applicants must provide their own transportation. The casting agency is Heery Loftus Casting, and it accepts both SAG-AFTRA and non-union talent. The show recently filmed in Manayunk and Wissahickon Valley Park.

Netflix is bringing 'The Four Seasons' back to Philadelphia for its second season finale. The production needs extras of all ages and ethnicities. Filming days are Monday, Nov. 30, and Tuesday, Dec. 1. Applicants must submit contact information, photos, and measurements to Central Casting. The series previously filmed in upstate New York and Italy. Co-creator Tina Fey grew up in Upper Darby, while star Colman Domingo is from West Philadelphia.

The casting needs align with the storylines of both shows. In 'Task,' FBI agent Tom Brandis has children named Emily and Ethan. Ethan was incarcerated in the first season, but he may be free by the second season. The new character Eddie Barnes, played by Mahershala Ali, also has a family. The high school dance scene likely features one of these characters.

The finale of 'The Four Seasons' left the main characters moving to Philadelphia. Danny and Claude returned to the city after Danny's mother had a health emergency. The new episodes may show their daily life in Pennsylvania. Alternatively, the rest of the friend group, including Kate, Jack, Anne, and Ginny, might travel to visit. The show previously depicted the group visiting the Jersey Shore.

The casting windows are specific for both productions. The 'Task' shoot is a single day event. The 'Four Seasons' shoot spans two consecutive days. Both calls are currently open for submissions. The local connection for the Netflix series is strong given the personal ties of its lead actors to the region.
